The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has officially announced the organization of the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival, which will take place in Hue in 2025. The event will be hosted by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition in coordination with the Hue Department of Culture and Sports and other related units.
The festival aims to further build the brand of Vietnamese photography, promote the beautiful image of the country and its people, and enhance international exchange through photography activities.
At the same time, the event will enrich the series of activities held under National Tourism Year – Hue 2025, providing the city with a valuable photo archive for the promotion of its culture and tourism to both domestic and international communities.
The 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival – Hue 2025 will feature a wide range of exciting activities, including a 7-day photography exchange and creative trip in Hue; the photo exhibition “Vietnam Through the Lens of International Photographers”, showcasing around 200 works in downtown Hue; and an awards ceremony.
According to the Organizing Committee’s plan, the creative photography activities will take place at the end of May 2025, while the photo exhibition and awards ceremony are scheduled for September 2025.
The organizers expect to invite 10 international photographers and 20 Vietnamese photographers from various provinces, including Hue, to participate in the exchange and creation events.
These artists will explore and capture images of various destinations within the Complex of Hue Monuments, as well as other famous sites across the province, such as: Tam Giang lagoon in Quang Loi commune; Bao La weaving village (Quang Dien district); Phuoc Tich ancient village (Phong Dien town); Lang Co bay, Hai Van pass (Phu Loc district); nature and cultural beauty of the highland district of A Luoi; Dong Ba market, Thuan An beach and other scenic spots…
