The Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2025 will take place from June 6 to 15 across the two districts of Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa, as well as other towns and communes.

This week-long event is part of the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025. It aims to leverage the strengths, brand identity, and unique cultural value of the Hue Ao Dai. The goal is to build Hue’s tourism image closely associated with the Ao Dai and stimulate tourism development.
A major highlight of the week will be the special Hue Ao Dai art program, held within the framework of the National Tourism Year 2025, on the evening of June 6th at An Dinh Palace.
On the morning of June 7th, an environmental cycling program themed “Ao Dai Through the Streets” will take place. Participants will start at the Quoc Hoc Stele and cycle along the route: Le Loi Street – Ga Bridge – Bui Thi Xuan Street – Da Vien Bridge – Le Duan Street – Tran Hung Dao Street – Truong Tien Bridge – Le Loi Street, finishing back at the Quoc Hoc Stele.
Following this, on the afternoon of June 8th, a Vietnamese traditional costume parade titled “Bach hoa bo hanh” (A Hundred Flowers Stroll) will be held. The parade will start at Nghenh Luong Pavilion, proceed along the Huong River pedestrian path/Le Duan Street – Tran Hung Dao Street – Truong Tien Bridge – Le Loi Street, and conclude at the Quoc Hoc Stele.

Furthermore, the entire week will be filled with numerous related activities. These include the “Journey of Ao Dai Back to its Roots” program, the captivating art performance “Ao Dai – Radiant Colors of the Ancient Capital,” an energetic “Ao Dai Takes to the Streets” flashmob, and an insightful seminar focusing on “Ao Dai in Schools.” Artistic endeavors will be showcased through a painting exhibition and an Ao Dai collection show centered on the “Application of Diem Phung Thi Art.” The event also pays homage to history with solemn ceremonies, such as an incense offering at the tomb of Lord Vo Vuong Nguyen Phuc Khoat, a parade and tribute dedicated to him, and an incense offering to Emperor Minh Mang, who is recognized for elevating the Ao Dai to the status of national costume.
It is anticipated that thousands will participate in each event throughout the week. These collective efforts will serve to honour the Hue Ao Dai, reinforce the “Hue – Capital of Ao Dai” brand, and play a significant role in promoting Hue’s rich culture in conjunction with local tourism advertising and promotion initiatives.
