Since becoming the destination for the Faldo Series Asia tournament in 2017, Laguna Golf Lăng Cô has witnessed many of Asia’s most outstanding young talents compete and contest. Through each season, the champions have created memorable stories, demonstrating their bravery and fierce desire to win. Let’s take a look back at the champions over the years, to see the strong development of youth golf in Asia.
🏆 2017 – Napat Paramacharoenroj (Thailand) With impressive form, Napat Paramacharoenroj impressed the audience when he successfully made a challenging putt from about 11 yards at the 18th hole, thereby winning spectacularly and being crowned Faldo Series Asia 2017 champion.
🏆 2018 – Suzuka Yamaguchi (Japan) Suzuka Yamaguchi made history in the tournament when she became the first female golfer to win the Faldo Series Asia. Her excellent performance not only affirmed her talent but also strongly inspired the young female golfer generation.
🏆 2019 – Chang Hsin Chiao (Taiwan) The competition at Faldo Series Asia 2019 was extremely fierce, when Chang Hsin Chiao had to enter two dramatic playoff rounds before officially becoming the champion, this young female golfer continued to prove her superior talent, recording another memorable victory of the Faldo Series.
🏆 2023 – Nguyen Anh Minh (Vietnam) With his victory at Faldo Series Asia 2023, Nguyễn Anh Minh brought glory to Vietnamese golf on the international arena. Anh Minh’s success is not only a personal pride but also marks the progress of Vietnamese golf in the region.
🏆 2024 – Nguyen Duc Son (Vietnam) Continuing the success of his senior, Nguyễn Đức Sơn continued to bring glory to Vietnamese golf after a breathtaking playoff series, demonstrating the steadfast bravery and desire to win of the young Vietnamese generation.
