Join us to be an English teacher for local school children !
Launched in 2014, “English is Fun” is an annual programme of Laguna Lang Co aimed at helping local students improve their English efficiency and build up their passion for learning English through different fun games and interactive lessons.
Since 2014–2020, Laguna Lang Co has connected hundreds of international guests and participating staff through English extracurricular classes. More than 1,000 students, including primary and secondary school students in Phu Loc district benefited from the programme.
After a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the programme officially relaunched on the morning of the 5th October 2023 at Loc Vinh Secondary School with an English class every Thursday morning.
Each class lasts 1.5 hours and all English speaking guests and associates are invited to visit the schools and talk, share knowledge, exchange culture and play funny games with Vietnamese students in English. Everyone going to the school with great excitement is also what an innovative education system expects.
After six years, the English Is Fun program attracted and benefited to:
- 1000 local students
- 114 Laguna Lăng Cô associates and nearly 172 guests joined as volunteer teacher
2023
After a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the programme officially relaunched on the morning of the 5th.October 2023 at Loc Vinh Secondary School with an English class every Thursday morning. Participating in the class was Mr. Leslie Walters, Director of Activities and Sustainability. The class was exciting, with many interesting activities to help students become more confident when communicating in English with foreigners.
2019
In 2019, another three secondary schools benefited from the programme including Loc Tri, Loc Vinh and Loc Binh Secondary School. Laguna Lang Co provided more than 120 “English is Fun” lessons, engaged 168 Guests and 114 Associates. 300 students graduated from the programme.
2018
In 2018, the programme was conducted from February – August at three primary schools (Nuoc Ngot 2, Loc Tien and Binh An primary school).
After 8 months (Jan-Aug) with lots of memorable experience, ENGLISH IS FUN GRADUATION 2018 – one of the most expected event in the year was held. the event is also a chance to our beloved children to meet each other and together explore Our amazing world via various games and country sessions, promising a memorable day for all of them.
