BUY LOCALLY SOURCED MUSHROOMS
Every month, we purchase oyster mushrooms from the mushroom grower at the Nuoc Ngot Social Protection Centre. This helps support local production facilities and create a stable source of income for them to raise disabled children.
However, due to the scale of production, the quantity of their oyster mushrooms only meets about 30% of the total amount of oyster mushrooms we consume.

Binh An School Project
Binh An School is the only primary school in Loc Vinh commune, a poor coastal area of Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam. With only 11 classrooms, no library and over 740 students aged between 6 and 11, Binh An School did not have sufficient facilities for students as requested by the national standard, resulting in a high number of students in each class, around 35 – 41 students per class. In addition, the school had been forced to shorten lesson times so that two classes could share one room in a day. In a hope to bring a better educational environment to local students, Banyan Tree Global Foundation (BTGF) funded 1.55 billion VND (equivalent to US$ 67,896) for the construction of two additional classrooms (56m2) and a library (112m2) at Binh An Primary School in 2019. After 26 years of operation, for the very first time, Binh An school has enough classrooms for all students and “dream has come true” as shared by Mr. Tran Xuan Tu, the school Head Master.
