A representative from Vietnam – Nguyen Duc Son was crowned champion after a dramatic play-off round with Mr. Masato Sumiuchi from Japan.
The 15th Faldo Series Asia Grand Final concluded with great success, marking a historic moment for Vietnamese sports. Representing Vietnam, Nguyen Duc Son emerged as the champion after a thrilling playoff against the Japanese player – Mr. Masato Sumiuchi.
In a tense race for the title, Nguyen Duc Son closely trailed Hong Kong’s golfer Wang Ngai Shen and Japan’s Masato Sumiuchi. Despite facing challenges in the final holes, Nguyen Duc Son displayed remarkable composure and focus, staging an impressive comeback, especially during the intense playoff at the 18th hole and ultimately clinching the overall victory with a gross score of 208 for all three rounds.

This victory marks Nguyen Duc Son’s first Faldo Series Asia Grand Final title as well as his first international triumph. Furthermore, he became the second Vietnamese golfer to claim victory in this prestigious tournament, following Nguyễn Anh Minh in 2023.
